The gospel is the good news that God loves us and has made a way for us to be restored to Him. The Bible teaches that God created everything, including humanity, to live in perfect relationship with Him (Genesis 1:27). However, sin—anything that goes against God, who is perfect—separated us from Him and brought death into the world (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23). No matter how hard we try, we can't fix this broken relationship on our own.
But because of His love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live the perfect life we couldn't live and to die in our place, taking the punishment for our sins (John 3:16, 1 Peter 2:24).
The good news doesn't end there—Jesus rose from the dead, proving His power over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Now, God offers forgiveness and eternal life to anyone who repents (turns away from sin) and trusts in Jesus as Lord and Savior (Acts 3:19, Romans 10:9). This is a free gift of grace, not something we can earn (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Through faith in Jesus, we are made new and brought back into a relationship with God, with the promise of eternal life with Him (2 Corinthians 5:17, John 10:10). Would you like to know more about what it means to follow Jesus? It costs you nothing; all you have to do is accept the free gift that God offers you. Come join us so you can pass from death to life in Christ.
